DISSEMINATION

A Technology Transfer Centre (TTC) contributes to ensure the technological development of small and middle enterprises (lower than 250 people). Most of the time, it is a public centre which gives technological council, and very often works in partnership with SMEs, universities and research laboratories located close to them. Sometimes, it can be private.

The mission of a technology transfer centre is to:

- Disseminate scientific and technological developments to private industry ;

- Promote the development of the technology further into new products, processes, materials, or services that will enhance the country's industrial efficiency;

- Generate new industries and employment opportunities;

- Improve public services;

- Create more competitive products in world markets;

- Design new products and industrial developments.

A selection of Technology Transfer Centres involved in the field of injection, was carried out in different European countries (France , Portugal , Spain , Italy , Belgium , Germany).

According to the SME's waiting in the field of plasturgy, a survey form was elaborate in order to know the TTC characteristics (mainly in terms of competences). This form was sent to a list of selected European technology transfer centres.
