Acting as a focus for research and development activities, this project combines its participants' research capacity to provide Europe with a critical mass of expertise in the field of Polymer Injection Moulding for knowledge integration and spread of excellence.
The network is composed of the main European laboratories which are the leaders in this field, each of them having strong links with industrial partners.
The consortium comprises academia laboratories specialised in various fields (numerical simulation, experimental investigations, polymer physics, technology.). Partners from industry range from polymer producers, mould maker, end user, technical transfer centres, software package company. Therefore the consortium is potentially able to achieve a breakthrough in the area of injection moulding. Dissemination will be achieved by all the participants, especially by the technology transfer centres and the industrial partners.
